Art is like Beauty and "Beauty is in the Eyes of the
beholder" therefore, it appeals to each one of us
differently. Most of us buying fine paintings because they impress
upon us an emotional appeal in a most personal way that is uniquely
different than it does to others. Therefore, no one can make a
decision for us when buying Art because he or she may not share our same
emotional or artistic point of view. On the other hand when we have partners
who share these same values, it is such an
exuberant and satisfying experience. Thus, to enjoy and to satisfy our
emotional values for Art which has much long lasting effects upon us, we
should listen to our own artistic instinct. It touches us uniquely

I
often heard similar comments from couples who just invested in some
beautiful Oil paintings for their homes. They exuberated "after we
have them in our home, we feel so good whenever we come home. We
both feel as if our home has been "upgraded" with such
beautiful and valuable masterpieces of fine art." As I
often advised my Art students, "listen to your heart when it comes
to Fine Art, but follow through with a theme of your own, one that suits
your emotionally well-being, and accomplish this theme by fulfilling
your artistic dream." While most Artistic people do
have a strong inclination of what and how they want their home
decorated, studies have found that up to 89% of married couples did not
professionally decorate or know how to decorate their homes
appropriately. Of the 11% that do, 8% of them hired interior
decorating companies or feng shui designers which leaves only 3%
decorated their own homes professionally (some of them no doubt are
architects or interior decorators themselves). This may be a
surprising statistic result, but when we think about it, it is rather a
simple deduction. Since decorating a home beautifully takes a
trained interior decorating professional and because most people are not
trained in this field, they often don't know how to decorate their homes
effectively. Secondly, hiring a trained interior decorating
professional would cost them additional fund, therefore most couples
don't even bother. They ended up just doing their best-effort jobs
which often result in clashing styles and colors and left their homes
without any themes.
Balancing
Our Spiritual and Emotional Well-Beings with Our Surrounding Environment
What
most
couples don't realize is that their emotional and spiritual well-beings
are the direct result of their surrounding living environment which
includes everything in their homes and their workplaces. Secondly,
they don't know that the cost of interior decorating services are partly
offset by the buying power of the designers. Therefore, most
homeowners often save on the cost difference between retail and
wholesale pricing of materials bought for the house which most interior
decorators would pass on to them (their service fee therefore is partly
